Together with WR and the National University of Singapore-Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, the Philippine Strategic Forum is co-organizing the event on “Digitalizing the Philippines: A White Paper Launch and Discussion Forum” with the overarching objective of appraising the state of digital economy in the country and to gather insights on how the Philippines can better pursue digital transformation to support its economic recovery. The event will bring together key stakeholders such as academe, industry practitioners, and key public figures to discuss the prospects of promoting digital economy in the country.
The forum intends to answer the following questions:
How is the country’s digital economy fairing compared to its Asia Pacific neighbors? What are some lessons and practices that the Philippines can learn?
What are the challenges and opportunities for the Philippines in promoting the digital economy?
What are some institutional and policy recommendations to ensure the development of the digital economy in the country?
How can we develop an ecosystem that supports the digital economy (i.e., ICT talents, enterprises, industries)?
How do we ensure data sovereignty and cyber security in the digital economy?
